Registered Charity No: 1087579 SWEP was formed due to the demand for a moorland-based society to help, advise and follow up equine complaints of all kinds, be they moorland, private or abandoned. All rescued equines that come into our care receive veterinary attention and any other help or assistance they require to enable them to make a full recovery. Th is can take several weeks or months, depending on how bad the condition of the equines when they come in. In all cases they receive plenty of TLC. When we take in a rescue, the animal is signed over to SWEP via a legally binding contract, and all rescued animals stay the property of SWEP for the remainder of their lives. When they are fi t and well, we re-home them on a Loan Scheme. The loan home is inspected before the animal is signed over to the Loanee on our Loan Contract, and the animal will be checked twice a year, to ensure that everything is kept to a standard. (SWEP do not sell their Equines.) The SWEP Committee are all volunteers. ‘All funds go to the equines.’ SWEP needs to purchase land and stables. Please help us to help equines and give a donation.
